Brief: Japan Matsuri

An illustration based investigation of Japanese arts and culture with a focus on the Japan Matsuri festival. Creating a range of promotional material intended for a large run and widespread promotion, in order to give me experience in producing more corporate design.

Applying simplified versions of the illustrations to poster designs, including Japan Matsuri’s original logo, to keep branding recognisable. A simple colour scheme is followed to keep consistent to the logo, and also to reflect traditional Japanese design.

The designs can be applied across a range of media. The festival itself being located in London, this would be the main location of advertising space.
