The college has held the course fees for2011-12 at the same level as 2010-11.

Remission of feesRemission of fees only applies to vocational and furthereducation courses and part time and professionalcourses.

Short courses and higher education courses do notqualify for remission of fees.

If you are over 19 tuition fees on vocational courses willbe remitted if you are:

• Claiming Jobseekers Allowance (JSA income based)or your partner is claiming and the claim is joint.(Please note JSA only allows you to study up to 16learning hours per week)

• Claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESAincome based) in the work related activity grouponly. (Please note ESA only allows you to study upto 16 learning hours per week)

• Taking learning aims such as AdultSkills for Life and Functional Skills in Literacy andNumeracy. (excluding Skills for Life and ESOL)

Remission of awarding body costs(examination and registration fees)If you are entitled to remission of tuition fees for level 2and 3 entitlements you will also be entitled to remissionof awarding body costs where you are in receipt of oneof the following means tested benefits: JobseekersAllowance (JSA contribution based), Council Tax Benefit,Housing Benefit, Income Support, Working Tax Credit(with income less than £15,726), Pension Credit,Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and unwageddependents of these categories.
