I DREAMED I HAD AN INTERVIEW WITH GOD: You are encouraged to enjoy breathtaking photographic images, beautiful music and an inspiring message in a beautiful, evocative and powerful presentation that has touched so many at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=936Ntkdjruw
“I dreamed I had an interview with God… ‘So you would like to interview me?’ GOD asked.
If you have the time, I said. GOD smiled.
My time is eternity… What questions do you have in mind for me? What surprises you most about humankind?
GOD answered… That they get bored with childhood,
They rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.
That they lose their health to make money… and then lose their money to restore their health
That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget about the present, such that they live in neither the pre-
sent nor the future. That they live as if they will never die, and die as though
they had never lived. GOD’S hand took mine and we were silent for awhile
And then I asked, As a parent what are some of life’s lessons you want your
children to learn? To learn they cannot make anyone love them.
All they can do is let themselves be loved. To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to oth-
ers. To learn to forgive…by practicing forgiveness.
To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open pro-found wounds in those they love…
And it can take many years to heal them. To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least To learn that there are people who love them dearly,
But simply do not yet know how to express or show their feelings.
To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.
To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one an-other, but they must also forgive themselves.
Thank you for your time, I said humbly. Is there anything else you’d like your children to know?”
GOD smiled and said… Just know that I am here.
Always.”
Winter 2020
TO:ALL WOMEN of HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH FROM: Rosa Montano, HFCCW President, Donna Kelsey, HFCCW Vice-President RE: Activity/Committee Sign-Up Information Your current Holy Family Council of Catholic Women (HFCCW) officers are working this winter, preparing for a spirit filled year to inspire, unify, and challenge each of you, to volunteer as much or as little as fits your lifestyle, and come together to do God’s work in our parish. It is our hope and prayer that new and old friendships will continue to grow, as together we climb the mountain hand in hand, to the holiness we are called to embrace through our Catholic Faith. (as much or as little involvement as fits your life would be greatly appreciated!) OFFICERS: Your officers are: Rosa Montano, President; Donna Kelsey, Vice President & Treasurer; Pauline Zeren, Secretary
All women of Holy Family Catholic Church are considered members of HFCCW. VOLUNTEER FORM: We want to offer opportunities for all our women to participate on meaningful committees and activities this year. Below you will find a Volunteer Form to complete and return. Please pray and decide on the committees and activities in which you want to participate this year so you won’t miss out on these opportunities to serve our parish and women. Please mark the form accordingly. We will compile the list of volunteers for each committee and activity, and choose a leader for each one, to contact you as needed. The Volunteer Form also helps our Officers keep your contact information correct in our HFCCW Directory so you can stay informed. We pray 2019 has been a joy filled time with God, family and friends, while enjoying the beauty of His creation. We all have so very much to be thankful for in our small parish, communities and valley. Thank you so much for taking the time from your busy schedule to complete and return the Volunteer Form. Let ’s work together to provide the opportunities you want through HFCCW. With our special committees and activities offered through HFCCW, there is a place each one of us fits and belongs! Come, find your place and joy in serving God and each other!
