TRUSTEE PROGRAMS

The West Orange Chamber of Commerce announces new incoming Community and Supporting Trustees to the 2011 Programs. All of the Chamber’s Trustees enjoy the highest level of exposure and valuable benefi ts, while providing the Chamber with added fi nancial stability. The range of Trustees is small to large business, theme parks to promotional products. They represent the gamut of business in West Orange.

Best Cleaners and Florida Hospital are the most recent businesses to join the ranks of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce Community Trustees.

For over 23 years, Best Cleaners has always guaranteed quality and satisfaction by offering superior service to all of their customers. Their goal is to provide premier garment care and cleaning with a no-hassle guarantee utilizing the newest “green” methods. They are proud members of the National Cleaners Association and the International Fabricare Institute. Stevens Construction Company is one of Florida’s oldest and most experienced construction leaders.

“The Chamber’s Trustees are an invaluable resource for the Chamber and our members”, said Stina D’Uva, President/CEO WOCC. “We, at the Chamber, know how savvy these businesses are to take advantage of the value our Trustee Programs provide.”

The Chamber team, working in conjunction with the volunteers of the Chamber committees, establishes each committee’s plan of action to support the Chamber’s purpose and vision. Our committee meetings are an opportunity for our members to get involved, learn and network.

Ambassadors serve as offi cial hosts of the Chamber at ribbon cuttings, anniversary celebrations, ground breakings, open houses, Business After Hours and other Chamber functions approved by the committee. The Ambassadors promote programs and projects of the Chamber and recognize businesses and individuals through the “We Noticed Awards” and the “Member of the Month” programs.

Economic and Governmental Advocacy Committee will advocate on business issues from local to state level to create a positive business climate in the West Orange community. The committee meets the 2nd Monday of the month, 8:00am at the Chamber offi ce.

Education Committee shall raise awareness among the business community as to their role in improving local schools and to foster and develop stronger relationships among businesses, educators and students. This committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 8:00am at the Chamber offi ce.

Events Committee shall ensure that all Chamber events are fi rst and foremost fundraisers for the organization, and must be economically viable and consistent with the Chambers overall mission, goals, and strategies. This committee meets on an as needed basis.

Membership Committee supports and promotes a proactive membership program that focuses on acquisition, retention and involvement of Chamber members. This committee meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 9:15am at the Chamber offi ce.

Small Business Development Team recognizes the importance of small businesses in our community, and shall continually seek ways to offer small business owners and managers effective tools to grow and prosper. This committee meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 8:45am at the Chamber offi ce.
