THEME PRESENTATION (PRE

Playing dress-up begins at an early age and truly never ends. We at the
Vidyashilp Public School conducted a theme dressing presentation for the
Pre-Primary Section. The purpose
for conducting the activity was to blend learning and fun and to
develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to get
on the stage and speak in front of
an audience. They were dressed in colourful costumes and spoke a few
words on the character that they depicted.
This activity was fun and excellent as it sparkled their imagination and
it also stimulated creativity in the
parents as the props that they made were incredible. The efforts made by
the parents are highly commendable.

on the following themes: Senior KG – A – Domestic Animals

GARDENING IN PRE
PRIMARY
Gardening is a healthy, fun activity
for children. They develop new
skills and learn about science and nature from growing plants. There
is a variety of interesting activities children are involved in, such as
planting, watering and weeding.
Every year, the Pre Primary children go through this gardening activity,
which they all enjoy to the fullest. This year children brought
fenugreek seeds from their homes. Each class was allotted a small
space behind the school’s building.
The children first cleaned the allotted area, they removed the
small stones and weeds, and dug the soil. They enjoyed the use of
spades and rakes as they turned
their garden into a little place of adventure. Many of them felt like
they had magic powers, as they regularly watered the seeds and
watched them explode into life and
growth. The fenugreek seeds were sown by each child and every day
the students were taken to see the growth of their plants. The students
learn focus, patience, co-operation and teamwork through this activity
and it also encourages the children
to eat healthy. They also develop love and awareness for their
environment.When the fenugreek is
ready, it is given to the children to
take home, cook and bring it in their
tiffin. Gardening is a wonderful way to get
the students outside the classroom to benefit from fresh air and physical
activity.
INDEPENDENCE DAY
The 73rd Independence Day was
celebrated with great enthusiasm
and solemnity at Vidyashilp Public School. The celebration started with

respect to our nation. The students

on this occasion bringing out the importance of the day.
It was appealed to the gathering to conserve our forests and natural
heritage, safeguard our monuments
and renew our habitats, and to work collectively in order to eliminate
poverty, illiteracy and inequality with the sense of ownership and
responsibility to successfully lead the
nation ahead. The celebration ended with a vote of
thanks and distribution of sweets to the students, parents, staff, support
