An open pairs team (Age 18+) & senior pairs team (Age 55+) from each handicap category (flight) at each of the provincial qualifiers will go through to the Final Qualifier. Each pair must have no more than 8 shots between their handicaps. Total each others handicap to find out what category (flight) you fall into.

• Open to Ladies and Gents (GUI and ILGU handicaps required)

• Fourball Betterball format – Strokeplay – teams of two golfers – any combination Male/ Female

• Two Categories of ages within each flight Open Age 18+ and Senior (both players must be over 55)

• No more than 8 shots to separate the handicaps between you and your partner. Your combined handicaps and your age on the day will determine what Category (Flight) you will compete in. Total your handicaps then half to see which flight you fall into. On the day of Qualifiers you play off your own handicap. Halving only determines which Category (flight)

• Format: Best nett score on each hole from each pair at Qualifiers and National Final

• A total of one pair from each age section within each category (flight) will qualify for the National Qualifier or Grand Final in April 2020. (8 pairs in total from each venue)

To book into a qualifier contact the golf clubs directly and ask to book the International King’s Cup Qualifier or book directly through each clubs website. ENTRY FEE: Members €35pp / £35pp. Visitors €50pp / £50pp. All players must hold a current GUI/ILGU handicap.

Pairs Qualifiers

T&C’s: The winning pairs from each age bracket within each flight will represent Ireland at Castlerock Golf Club. Team will assemble at Roe Park Resort and stay there for four nights (Tues 24th - Fri 29th May 2020 incl.). Team uniforms will be supplied for match days. Four rounds of golf will be played at Castlerock and two gala dinners will take place during the week. 2nd stage tournament fee €50pp. Other terms and conditions apply.
