Throughout 2019, Gulfstream continued itscommitment to community creation, invest-ment and growth through a series of initiatives

focused on stewardship and support.

Some of our greatest strides were in the area of sustainability, where we once again took a leadership role, driving the industry to trans-form its environmental impact by reducing its carbon footprint and reliance on fossil fuels.

Sustainable aviation fuel stood center stage in these eorts, with Gulfstream sponsoring a series of summits to encourage the use of these low-carbon fuel alternatives. Our owneorts in this regard helped us achieve a mile-stone: ying more than 1 million nautical miles on this renewable fuel blend.

But it’s not enough for us to do something; we also want to encourage and support ourcustomers’ environmental endeavors. So in 2019, we introduced two options for ouroperators to increase their commitment to the environment: we began selling susta-inable aviation fuel to clients of our Long Beach facility, and we introduced a carbonosets program. You can read more about those initiatives and others in the Sustain-ability section of this report.

In addition to sustainability, we remained focused on our employees, creating programs, practices and policies that promote a diverse, inclusive and well-trained workforce. In2019, we crafted a diversity and inclusion statement that solidies and reinforces ourcommitment to “providing an open work experience for all employees with opportun-ities to develop and grow both professionally and personally.” Find out how we’re doing just that in the Commitment to Employees section.

Underpinning all these eorts is our dedication to the communities where our emp-loyees live, work and play. In 2019, we supported more than 130 nonprots around the world, sponsored more than 60 volunteer events and donated $1.75 million to the United Way.

We couldn’t have done any of this without the support of our employees, their families, our parent company, our suppliers and our customers.

Thank you, all, for helping us achieve new heights.

Sincerely,

Mark BurnsPresidentGulfstream Aerospace Corporation

Gulfstream’s sustainability strategy originated with a commitment from the company’s senior leadership and employees to act as stewards of the environment for their communities and the health and well-being offuture generations. Our sustainability strategy also supports industry goals toward reducing emissions.

SUSTAINABILITY AT GULFSTREAM

Green Buildings

In Savannah alone, Gulfstream has seven green facilities. Shared environmentally friendly features incorporated into these buildings include sustainable site development, low-flow plumbing, highly efficient HVAC systems, energy-saving lighting and lighting control sensors, and drought-tolerant and native plants requiring little or no irrigation.

Supplier Sustainability

Gulfstream’s suppliers follow a code of conduct to ensure their commitments to the environment align with Gulfstream’s sustainability goals.

Sustainable Fuels

Gulfstream’s test, corporate, demonstration and Gulfstream FAST™ Field and Airborne Support Teams fleets have flown more than 1 million nautical miles and accumulated more than 2,760 flight hours on the company’s supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

SAF is the only fuel Gulfstream’s service center in Long Beach, California, has available for customers.

Carbon Offsets

In 2019, Gulfstream began a service that reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainability and provides Gulfstream operators with the opportunity to reduce the carbon footprint associated with their flights. Participants pay an annual fee based on air-craft utilization to fund activities that generate an equal reduction in carbon emissions.

Gulfstream does not charge operators a fee to administer its carbon offset service and there is no contractual commitment. Customers let Gulfstream know their projected annual flight hours and are invoiced a monthly fee, which is invested in environ-mentally beneficial activities through a third-party provider chosen by Gulfstream.

AIRCRAFT SUSTAINABILITYGulfstream’s research and development teams are dedicated to designing new aircraft that decrease their environmental impact through reductions in noise, emissions and fuel consumption.

Gulfstream G650 and G650ER Gulfstream G500 and G600

Gulfstream’s G500 and G600 offer exceptional fuel-efficiency, fewer emissions and less engine noise with Gulfstream-designed wings and versions of the new Pratt & Whitney PW800 series engine. Additionally, for the first time in company history,Gulfstream is manufacturing the wing and empennage ofthe G500 and G600 on-site,resulting in decreased transpor-tation emissions and packaging.

Equipped with Rolls-RoyceBR725 engines, the G650 and G650ER emit 30 percent fewernitrogen oxides (NOx) than out-lined by the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Commit-tee on Aviation Environmental Protection Tier 6 standards

Diversity and Inclusion

Gulfstream’s Diversity and Inclusion department, with the support of an enterprisewide Diversity and Inclusion Council, is dedicated to creating and maintaining programs, practices and policies that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees are empowered to celebrate their diversity and flourish in their careers.

Every Gulfstream employee is responsible forbehaving in a manner that promotes diversity and incl-usion in the workplace and the communities where we live and work.

In 2019, Gulfstream introduced a diversity and incl-usion statement to employees: Valuing diversity

and inclusion is essential to Gulfstream. Honesty, fairness and treating one another with respect cul-tivates a workplace where everyone can be their best. We share a responsibility to demonstrate incl-usive behaviors and embrace diverse perspectives every day. When we don’t, we risk misrepresenting who Gulfstream is and what we stand for.

Our diversity and inclusion strategy sets our course as a company. Our commitment to this strategy means providing an open work experience for all employees with opportunities to develop and grow both professionally and personally. More than a strategy, it’s what makes us all better.

COMMITMENT TO EMPLOYEES

Military Veterans

At Gulfstream, military veterans are highly valued employees. Through their service to their country, they obtain and demonstrate integrity, teamwork and leadership that they carry with them into the civilian workforce. In 2019, the company continued its approach to outreach by connecting with veterans before they transition from the military. Focusing on transition assistance programs and transition readiness seminars, Gulfstream provides value-added assistance to veterans across the country Today, approximately 26 percent of Gulfstream’s workforce self-identifies as a veteran of the United States armed forces.

Employee Professional Development

In 2018, Gulfstream launched three professional development programs for employees: Ground School, Elevate and Leading Edge. These on-site programs provide facilitated training from onboa-rding to skill-building and leadership. In 2019, Gulfstream took professional development toanother level by introducing LinkedIn Learningto employees. In 2018, Gulfstream teamed up with Memorial Health in Savannahto launch Pilot for a Day, an out-reach program for children with life-altering illnesses. Gulfstream has since welcomed more patientsin 2019 from the Memorial Health Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Chil-dren’s Hospital of Savannah for personalized tours.

“There has been a lot of enthus-iasm from the kids,” says Bill Maples, a senior production test pilot who helped develop the pro-gram. “But it has continued to be as much or more rewarding for the employees as it has been for the guests of honor.”

The program has grown to incl-ude nine areas around Gulfstream that serve as tour stops, andemployees in those areas roll out the figurative red carpet for the children and their families.

“When they come in, you can tell they don’t know what to expect,” says Frances Messalle, an assistant chief production test pilot who coordinates the program. “At the end of the day, they’re overwhel-med with gratefulness.”

The day begins with a short pre-sentation at the Sales and Design Center. Then the children experi-ence places like the virtual reality lab, the Iron Birds, the G500

immersive flight simulator, the 3D printing lab, completions and even the air traffic control tower.

“When I do Pilot for a Day, I do itas if it was one of my kids,” says Royce Turner, a G700 test depart-ment aircraft coordinator who

helps the guests experience air-craft in G650 production. “I show them all the bells and whistles and let them explore to their heart’s content, with me as their co-pilot. I’m honored to help give them that opportunity, maybe inspire them to be a part of avia-tion one day and show them that they too can fly.”

Employees like Royce find ways to make each guest of honor feel special throughout the tour. One of the children even got to be the first person to sit in a new pilot seat. “He ran right over to tell me about it,” says Frances. “He must’ve said it three or four times. This is a child who wasn’t feeling the best, but he was so pumped. It was a really cutemoment that left a mark on me.”

The program will continue in 2020 with the goal of making one day a little brighter for children with life-altering illnesses. Memorial Health selects the participants through an application process, and Gulfstream will welcome one child each quarter.
