– policies procedures and guidelines, – training and development – Examples include:
• stakeholder data base • CGM, • CDA• Strategic Plans, • Data and records management systems, and • reporting frameworks

When to Use ICDMS
• Throughout the LOM ---starting early to construction, production and closure/decommissioning
• Used daily• Maintained continuously• Monitored, revised and improved regularly• Quarterly or annual review & updating
Steps
• Step 1: Develop ICDMS policy– Stakeholder tools # 1 & 2– Assessment tools # 11 & 12– –Strategic Planning Tool # 6 encompassing OTML’s vision of CR department
• Step 2: develop procedures to implement policy– Engage stakeholder’s on policies that affect them– Ensure stakeholder’s are aware of the policies– Ensures resources are available through corporate budgeting system– Ensure resources are provided for training staff and key stakeholders
• Step 3: Plan & implement CD programs– Partner with local communities– Partner with key stakeholders such as OTML departments, management,
contractors and NGOs i.e. OTDF– Develop indicators and gather data– Keep records of activities
• Step 4: monitor and evaluate– Revise stakeholder list, – report to OTML and stakeholders– Evaluate, doc lessons learnt, and include stakeholder inputs– Review and adjust program

• Draw from OTML CR experience, knowledge of ICMM CD Toolkits, and • 4 steps in ICDM design:
– develop a ICDMS for CR – Determine the key lessons in ICDMS design/development– Determine good principles in ICDMS design/development
