    Installation UNPACKING

    Unpacktherollergrillimmediatelyafterreceipt.Ifthemachineisfoundtobedamaged,savethepackagingmaterialandcontactthecarrierwithinfifteen(15)daysofdelivery.ImmediatelycontactGlobeoryourlocaldealeroftheequipment.You have no recourse of damage after fifteen (15) days.

    TO AVOID SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY:• ALWAYSinstallequipmentinaworkareawithadequatelightandspace.• ONLYoperateonasolid,level,nonskidsurfacethatisnonflammableandawayfromsinksandwaterhazards.• NEVERbypass,alterormodifythisequipmentinanywayfromitsoriginalcondition.Doingsomaycreate hazardsandwillvoidwarranty.• NEVERoperatetherollergrillwithoutallwarningsattachedtoit.

    PROPER GROUNDING

    THIS MACHINE IS PROVIDED WITH A THREE-PRONG GROUNDING PLUG. THE OUTLET TO WHICH THIS PLUG IS CONNECTED MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED. IF THE RECEPTACLE IS NOT THE PROPER GROUNDING TYPE, CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR REMOVE THE THIRD GROUND PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD OR USE ANY ADAPTER PLUG (Fig. 7-1 and Fig. 7-2).

    2. Rollergrillandoutsidecovering/containmentunitmaybecomeHOTafteruse.Usecautionwhentouching theunit.

    INSTALLATION

    1. Readthismanualthoroughlybeforeinstallationandoperation.DONOTproceedwithinstallationand operationifyouhaveanyquestionsordonotunderstandanythinginthismanual.Contactyourlocal representativeorGlobefirst.

    2. Removetherollergrillfromthebox.Onceyourrollergrillhasbeenremovedfromthepackaging,becertainthat allprotectiveplasticsandresiduesareremovedfromallsurfaces.

    3. Selectalocationfortherollergrillthathasalevel,solid,nonskidsurfacethatisnonflammableandawayfrom waterhazardsorsinks,andisinawell-lightedworkareaawayfromchildrenandvisitors.

    4. Inspecttherollergrilltoensureallpartshavebeenprovided(i.e.-catchtray).

    5. TheinstallationoftherollergrillmustconformtotheNATIONALELECTRICCODEANDALLLOCALELECTRIC CODESANDORDINANCESANDALLTHELOCALELECTRICALCOMPANYRULESANDREGULATIONS Additionallywerecommendthattherollergrillisalloweda4”spacingsurroundingtheunitinordertoprovide adequateventilation.

    NOTICE:Localcodesregardinginstallationvarygreatlybyarea.TheNationalFireProtectionAssociation, Inc,statesinitsNFPA96latestedition(seeNFPApageatthebeginningofthismanual)thatlocalcodesare “authorityhavingjurisdiction”whenitcomestorequirementsforinstallationofequipment.Therefore, installationshouldcomplywithalllocalcodes.

    6. Foryourprotectionwerecommendthataqualifiedelectricianinstallthisrollergrill.Theyshouldbe familiarwithelectricalinstallationsandallelectricalcodes.

    7. Properconnectionsandpowersupplyareessentialforefficientperformance.

    8. Theexternalwiringshouldbeinconduitoranapprovedtypeofflexiblecablesuitableforoperationattemperature indicatedattheconduithole,andinapropersizetocarrytheload.

    9. Thesupplycircuitshouldbeproperlyfusedandequippedwithameansofdisconnecting,asrequiredbythe localelectricalcode.Forrollergrillwithplugsandleadsset,simplyprovideasuitablepowerpointandconnect.

    ThisequipmentgetsEXTREMELYHOTsomakesureallflammable/combustiblematerialsaresetawayfromthisequipment.

    LevelingTherollergrillcomesstandardwithrubbernon-slipfeet.Pleaseensureafirm,levelsurfaceisusedwhenplacingthisunit.

    AssemblyEnsurethecatchtrayisinstalledbeforeeachuse.Theuseofthistraywillassistinkeepingtherollergrillcleanandhygienicandenableforeasycleaning.

    COMMISSIONING:Commissioningofyournewrollergrillisoftheutmostimportance.Commissioningisthethoroughandmethodicaltestingoftheequipment,subsystems,andsystemstoensurethatthefinalproductfunctionsproperlyandsafelyattheworksite.Byidentifyinganypotentialproblems(i.e.:equipmentlocation,ventilation,localfire/electricalcodes,installation, operator trainingand certification) prior to equipment beingplaced into service, costly outagesandpotentialdamagesmaybeavoided.

Takeextremecarewhenoperating.• Switchoffpower,anddisconnectfrom,themain/plugfromwallforcleaning.• Allowtherollergrilltocooldownafteruseandbeforedismantlingforcleaning;theunitwillbetoohotto handleimmediatelyafteruse.• TheGloberollergrillisequippedforthevoltageindicatedonthenameplatemountedontherearof theunit.Thisrollergrillisdesignedforuseonalternatingcurrent(AC)only.

    Operating InstructionsOperating the Roller Grill

    Beforeoperatingrollergrill,itshouldbecheckedtoseethatitissittinglevel.Ensuretherollergrillislevel,theunitisclean,andallpartsareinstalledcorrectlyincludingthecatchtray.Pleaseallow8-10minutesforwarmuptime.Cooksproductin3-10minutesdependingonlikeness.

    NOTE: Upon first use, roller grill may omit a metal-burning smell. This is normal and smell will regress with use.

    1. ThemainOn/Offswitchislocatedonthefrontpanelinlinewiththecontroldials.2. SwitchtheOn/Offswitch“ON”.3. TheOn/Offswitchwillactivatetherollers,butheatwillnotbesuppliedtotheelements.

    Theheatsettingiscontrolledbythedialsalsolocatedonthefrontpanel.Thesedialsofferthefollowingsettings.

    Cooking Selection:Therollergrillhasdualcontrolallowingyoutoisolatethefrontandbacksectionsoftheunit.Eachsectioncanbeadjustedtothefollowing:

    OFF: HeatingElementsare“OFF”LOW: LowPowertoheatedsectionselected.Powersavewhenunitisonstandby2: 5%power3: 50%power4: 70%powerHigh: Fullpowertoheatingsectionselected

    NOTE: The indicator light on the front panel indicates the elements are active. If the indicator lights are OFF, the unit has reached cooking temperature or has been turned off.

    GlobeFoodEquipmentCompany(“GFE”)warrantstotheoriginalpurchaserofnewequipmentthatsaidequipment,wheninstalledinaccordancewithourinstructionswithinNorthAmericaandsubjectedtonormaluse,isfreefromdefectsinmaterialorworkmanshipforaperiodof1year.Thelaborwarrantyisoneyearfromoriginalinstallationor 18months from actual factory shipment date whichever date occurs first.Warranty includes onsite servicecallswithin60milesofanauthorizedservicecompany.Enduserisresponsibleforallextratravelandmileageatprevailingrates.
