The students and a few staff members of The Creek Planet School visited the OldAge Home situated in Nizampet. We started the programme with an introduction given by Juhita&Rohit of Grade VIII which was followed by the introduction of the students who visited the place.

Our children interacted with the people there and asked about their experiences. The people also were very happy to share their experiences of joy and happiness. The students performed few cultural events to entertain the grandpas and grandmas there so as to make them feel relaxed and enjoy.

The children as a token of love gave apples to the people. The in charge directed us and showed the ashram. The children made them feel as if they were their grandchildren and spent a very good time and this helped the students to learn many things.

The people living there followthe principles of Brahmakumari which were preached by theIncharge Lakshmi TulasiGaru . She also explained the simple methods to be followed to be healthy and explained how to maintain equality and treat others as we would loved to be treated. The students also learnt that God is one and he always help us in doing things from her talks.

The founder of the ashram felt that our children brought a smile on their faces making them to recall pleasant memories of their past.

Whilereturning, the children also felt happy about the day they spent with the senior citizens. They felt satisfied as they could really “SPREAD A SMILE”.

My experience in old age home was really memorable. We had a chance to meet the old people. There we entertained and shared our love and joy by performing a classical dance and a song. This will be a cherishing experience for life time. I have got to learn from the people in old age home that “whatever maybe the matter we have to move on with a smile and have faith in God and that whatever he does good or bad it for our good sake”.

When we went to old age home ,they welcomed us with lot of affection. We felt happy to have such a trip. We danced and sang a song for them. We felt very sad that the old people in the family are discarded from the house and made to stay at a shelter, far away from their homes. How would they feel? “Is this called humanity?” I think it’s not so. I think the humans should change a lot then there will be love and affection between parents, children and grand parents and the world will be full of love and affection.

And I have decided to spent my special days with them as I would be doubly blessed and they would also feel happy.
