Delay condoned.In this petition filed under Order 40 read with

Order 47 Rule 6 of the Supreme Court Rules, 1966, the petitionershave prayed for review of order dated 27.4.2012 by which SLP(C)No. 14381 of 2012 was dismissed.

We have heard learned counsel for the parties andperused the record.

While dismissing Special Leave Petition (Civil)No.33048 of 2011 filed by the Union of India against the order ofthe Madras High Court this Court held that the direction given bythe High Court for paYment of salary to Staff Artists ofDoordarshan at par with Lighting Assistants Grade-II and Grade-Iwas legally correct.

In view of the above, order dated 27.04.2012passed in Special Leave Petition (Civil) No .14381 of 2012 1S

recalled and the special leave petition is restored to itsoriginal number.

Leave granted.Learned counsel for the appellants submits that in view

of order dated 10.1.2013 passed in Special Leave Petition (Civil)NO.33048 of 2011, relief in similar terms may be granted to themembers of appellant No.1 and other appellants.

Learned counsel for the respondents has not been able toput forward any tangible argument to controvert the submission ofthe appellants counsel.

We have considered the entire matter. Since similarlysituated persons have been granted relief, this appeal is allowedin terms of order dated 24.11.2010 passed by the Division Bench ofthe Madras High Court in Writ Petition No.27155 of 2009 read withorder dated 10.01.2013 passed in SLP(C)No.33048 of 2011.

The respondents are directed to give relief to themembers of appellant No.1 and other appellants as also othersimilarly situated persons in terms of order dated 10.01.2013passed by this Court in SLP(C)No. 33048/2011 approving thedirection given by the Madras High Court. The needful must be doneby the respondents within a period of three months from today .
