Mass Media &

Outreach activities

Second round behavioral survey among male clients of female sex workers

• Study participants: Men in the 18-40 age group who had sex

with FSW in the last three months were recruited at targeted

entertainment establishments.

• Sample methods and sample size: stratified, two-staged cluster

sampling with n = 1,602

• Data collection: Interviews using a structure questionnaire

• Analysis method: compare between non-exposure group with

different levels of exposure groups using multivariate analysis

with level of significant at .05

Increase in consistent condom use was linked to exposure across communication channels and repeat exposures.

Increase in VCT uptake was linked to the mass media campaign. Overlapping outreach with mass media led to further increase in the target behavior.
