Interested in our history? Check out our parish website for a new link to the Dio-cese of Helena archives. The archives contain several historic documents and pictures from the late 1800’s when Fr. DeRyckere was busy building churches.

Help Support our Seminari-ans’ pilgrimage to see Pope Francis on the East coast. Check out the flyer in the back of the church and drop in a few bucks or a check to help them on their journey. Follow their journey @

We are starting on the final phas-es of putting together the new

parish directory. We would like to make sure that we have all the

names, addresses and phone numbers correct in our database.

Please take a few seconds to check your family’s information on one of the member listing in

the back of the church and fill out a “Correction Form” if necessary.

Thank You!

We need more people helping out in our minis-tries… As we get ready to enter the new year, please consider helping out in one or more of our ministries. We should really have 3-4 more people serving as Sacris-tans so the daily and weekend responsibilities can be spread out over more people. We are also still looking for Eucharistic Ministers for the Saturday evening Mass so we can offer the Precious Blood regularly. Ideally if we get enough people to volunteer, individu-als would only be called on once a month to serve. Consider a New Years Resolution to serve our com-munity. If you are interested or want more information, fill out one of the forms and drop your name in the plastic bucket.

Tickets on Sale Now!

Our goal is to sell 200 tickets before the Oc-tober 2

nd raffle. This

will raise $1,000 for our Youth Ministry ef-forts and perhaps win someone here a new car. We are also look-ing for people that wish to attend the din-ner/auction event in Helena on Friday, Oc-tober 2nd. If you are interested, let Fr. Joe or Joan Sewell know.

The Catholic Home Missions Appeal will take place in September. Our dio-cese received $115,000 last year of which $3,750 came to Deer Lodge. One way that this appeal works to strengthen home mission dioceses in the United States is by funding semi-narian formation in poor dioceses. The blessing of seminarians places a financial burden on these dioceses, where educating each seminarian costs $35-40K per year. Your support is needed for these young men so that they might go back and serve their parishes. Please strengthen the Church at home by making a generous gift to next week’s appeal. We encourage you to pick up one of the special envelopes in the back of the church and prayerful-ly consider how you may be able to help.

Religious Education Classes this Sunday

The Parish Fall Potluck Pic-nic is scheduled for this Tuesday in the Peace Park. Fr. Joe will provide the meat, buns beverages and condi-ments. We just ask families to sign up to bring a salad or

desert and let us know how many are coming Festivi-ties will start at 5:30 PM. Bring your Frisbees and other lawn toys to enjoy. Lawn chairs and blankets may also be a good idea.
