One Solitary Life
He was born in an obscure village
The child of a peasant woman
He grew up in another obscure village
Where he worked in a carpenter shop
Until he was thirty
He never wrote a book
He never held an office
He never went to college
He never visited a big city
He never travelled more than two hundred miles
From the place where he was born
He did none of the things
Usually associated with greatness
He had no credentials but himself
He was only thirty three
His friends ran away
One of them denied him
He was turned over to his enemies
And went through the mockery of a trial
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves
While dying, his executioners gambled for his clothing
The only property he had on earth
When he was dead
He was laid in a borrowed grave
Through the pity of a friend
Nineteen centuries have come and gone
And today Jesus is the central figure of the human race
And the leader of mankind's progress
All the armies that have ever marched
All the navies that have ever sailed
All the parliaments that have ever sat
All the kings that ever reigned put together
Have not affected the life of mankind on earth
As powerfully as that one solitary life
Thank You To everyone who volunteered to helped make
Varenyky and bread during the Christmas time. We
appreciate your dedication and love for our Church
and Schools. May the good Lord Bless and reward

Beginning May 4, 2012, every first Friday of the month we
will have a Divine Liturgy in the evening (7:00 p.m.) After
the Divine Liturgy we will have special prayers and bless-
ings.

In memory of your loved ones Following our Christmas tradition this year you will have
the opportunity to purchase a flower which will adorn our
church in memory of your loved ones. Their names along
with your name will be placed on each plant you purchase.
The cost of each flower is $20.00 and may be ordered
through the rectory office.

A gift to St. Nicholas
Dear children, the feast of Saint Nicholas is fast approaching. St Nicholas informed us that he will indeed visit our beloved Parish and bring his gifts to reward good children for their excellent behavior. Let us also make a nice surprise for Him. As a gift to St Nicholas we ask children to paint their favorite Saint or the nativity Scene, also you can write a poem to St Nicho-las or the Child Jesus. Bring your paintings or poems to the Church. Your paintings and poems will enhance our Church for St. Nicholas. Don't forget to write your name on your work of art. Let's get to work and make a nice surprise to St. Nicholas! At Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church,
we will celebrate Saint Nicholas on Sunday, December
23 2012. Please bring your art work or poems to the
Church on Sunday, December 16
Дарунок для Св. Миколая Любі діти, наближається свято святого отця нашого
Миколая. Святий Миколай завітає з дарунками до
нашої церкви щоби потішити усіх чемних дітей.
Давайте і ми зробимо приємну несподіванку для
нашого улюбленого Святого. Намалюйте малюнки
або придумайте віршики, які ми зможемо розкласти в
церкві і прикрасити цей особливий день. Не забудьте
написати своє ім`я на малюнку, щоб не тільки святий
Миколай, але кожен міг побачити хто так гарно
постарався.
Тож до праці! У церкві Непорочного Зачаття святого Миколая святкуватимемо у неділю 23 грудня (підчас св. Літургії в 10 год.) Свої творчі роботи просимо принести перед святом Миколая, в неділю 16 грудня.
