Notatie - NotationAlgemeen - General Remarks

Dynamieken - Dynamics

Dynamieken zijn steeds absoluut genoteerd. Dat betekent dat pp voor harp even luid is als een pp voor hoorn. Op het einde van het werk

wordt veel met sordine gespeeld. De genoteerde dynamiek is ook daar het klinkende resultaat. Dus een hoornist(e) met een "silent brass mute" moet veel luider spelen om zo het gewenste dynamische effect te bekomen.

Dynamics are always notated absolutely. It means that pp for harp is as loud as a pp for horn. At the end of the piece, mutes are used a lot.

The notated dynamics are always the sounding result. For example, a horn player should play much louder with a silent brass mute to obtainthe wished dynamic effect.

Mallets

Wat de te gebruiken mallets betreft, zijn geen specifieke aanwijzingen gegeven.

De uitvoerder kan zelf beslissen welke mallets het meest geschikt zijn om bepaalde passages te spelen.

Daarvoor moeten de dynamiek en andere aanwijzingen natuurlijk aandachtig gevolgd worden.

There are no specific indications about which mallets should be used.

The performer can decide herself/himself which mallets are the best option to play a certain passage.

Of course, the dynamic and other notations should be followed very attentively.
