Differentiation blocks standardization

Issues with status quo: • Vendors should not differentiate on essential features that need to

be common, if market is to scale

• Misplaced differentiation causes unneeded complexity

• Complexity raises cost, decreases reliability, blocks scale

Failure to standardize in DER solutions will block cost reductions needed to increase scale

Objective:
