ABOUT THE ARTISTSFormed in 2013, when all the musicians were studying at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), the Chrysalis Trio is one of the most exciting young ensembles to emerge from Melbourne’s fertile chamber music scene, and combines outstanding musicianship with a creative, inquisitive approach to repertoire. Its name draws inspiration from the members' shared love of nature, and their time spent in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne, where they would take breaks from intensive rehearsals at ANAM and discuss music, nature, history and philosophy. Chrysalis Trio’s ANAM Artists tour begins this month, and includes performances at the Capital in Bendigo, Wesley of Warragul, and concerts and workshops in South Australia, N.S.W. and the A.C.T.

ABOUT ANAM ARTISTSANAM is dedicated to the artistic and professional development of exceptional young musicians from Australia and New Zealand. Through its elite performance training program, ANAM aims to develop the country’s future music leaders, distinguished by their artistic skill, imagination and courage. The ANAM Artists program brings together a handful of alumni each year, showcasing their skill in a series of recitals and performances across the country.
