IASI IA I CITY ROMANIA MARCH 2010 PALACE OF CULTURE The county
of Iasi has a surface of more than 5400 km and lies at the east
border of Romania with the Moldavia Republic. Its neighbors are in
north Suceava and Botosani, the south Vaslui and the west Neamt.
The geographical position on seven hills (Copou, Sorogari,
Tatarasi, Cetatuia, Bucium, Galata, Holboca) attracted the
comparison between the Moldavian city and Latin Rome. Iasi is

and railway connections extend through Iai, Trgu Frumos, and
Pacani. An airport is located near Iai city. Area 2,114 square
