I feel very well and glad for my character in the theatre play “Il Quarto Re Magio”. I am Danilo Plateli, the famous

baritone singer in Italy. Throughout the plot I am kidnapped and sold to a crazy girl, thank goodness I could escape. On

this moment I feel very funny!

But my favourite moment in the play is when I sing. I sing three times

during the play, firstly, I sing an Italian Christmas Carol; secondly, I

sing “Love me Tender Love”, very famous song by Elvis and finally I

sing the popular Christmas Carol “Adeste Fideles”. I like singing and I

think that it is more difficult that just acting.

I´m excited and nervous because the opening day is going to be soon,

and I don´t really know the whole text. I hope to learn it properly in a

few days.

Santa Catalina School organised a solidarity activity in order to

raise money for Haiti. The activity consisted on selling sandwiches

every Wednesday in November. The cost of the sandwiches was one

euro, and all the money will be send to Haiti. This activity allowed

students to think of Haiti at least once a week, collaborate

economically and…taste the delicious sandwiches! Apart from that,

they could experience the hard work of preparing the more than

200 sandwiches! It was a really fun, interesting and satisfying

activity that will probably be repeated, so if you have not had the

chance to participate… be aware next time!

Black Friday is on Friday just after Thanksgiving Day –last November´s Thursday- in United States of America.

November is a difficult month for the shops. Black Friday is an

opportunity to get benefits for the shops dealers.

When the shop doesn’t get enough money is in red numbers, then

they offer important discounts to get more costumers.

It is a way to change the red numbers into black numbers (from

negative to positive.)

We have recently been able to have good news of two of our dearest former students: Cristina Aranguren and Ana

Hugalde. Both of them have spent these last years helping people all over the world as catholic missionaries. Bolivia,

India, Chile… have been some of their destinations. Now they are spreading the message of Jesus in Honduras and

Angola.

God bless you Ana and Cristina!

Santa Catalina School held last November 16th and 17th the 1st Catalina Fashion Week

organised by students in 2nd year of Basic Vocational Training (Formación Profesional Básica). Students worked hard to discover the unfair world hidden behind the clothes

industry: child exploitation, people working for many hours, no labour rights such as

holidays or health services, lives in serious danger of death… Every time someone buys new clothes, there is a human being who suffers, so students decided there was

something they could do: give their clothes a second chance and raise money to help poor people. They showed their favourite looks on the catwalk and organised a charity shop to

sell that clothes. Now, more people know what is really happening.

Mille Cherubini in Coro

Dormi, dormi,

sogna, piccolo amor mio.

Dormi, sogna,

posa il capo sul mio cor.

Mille cherubini in coro

ti sorridono dal ciel.

Una dolce canzone

t'accarezza il crin

Una man ti guida lieve

fra le nuvole d'or,

sognando e vegliando

su te, mio tesor,

proteggendo il tuo cammin.

Su te, mio tesor,

proteggendo il tuo cammin.

Dormi, dormi…

Chiudi gli occhi,

ascolta gli angioletti,

dormi, dormi,

sogna, piccolo amor.

Dormi, dormi,

Thousand cherubs in chorus

Sleep, sleep,

dream, my little love.

Sleep, dream,

Put down your head on my heart.

Thousand cherubs in chorus

smile at you from Heaven.

One sweet song

T'accarezza il crin

One man guides to you light

among golden clouds,

dreaming and being awake

on you, my treasure,

protecting your journey.

On you, my treasure,

protecting your journey.

Sleep, sleep…

Close the eyes,

listen to the angels,

sleep, sleep,

dream, my little love.

Sleep, sleep…

Hi, my name´s Ane. I´m a young student of 3rd year of ESO at C.E.S. Santa Catalina-Santísimo Sacramento, here in Pamplona. This

year Daniel is our new native teacher. Daniel is a young guy who comes from New York. That´s just the reason why he´s so fun

because he is young like us and understands us much better. With him, we do a lot of funny games such as Pictionary… Those games are so interesting and make us relating more to our classmates. Well, I hope this lesson will never end but everything has

an ending. I hope Daniel enjoys these Christmas-holidays in Pamplona.

Ane Villanueva, 3rd ESO A

Hi. I’m Lourdes, a student of 3rd year of ESO and I’m going to give my point of

view about this year’s English native, called Daniel. I like their activities programmed for us to do in the time we have reserved each week. We enjoy them for around 20 minutes, and they are entertaining and funny. Being with

Daniel is fine because of the things that we work on with him. He’s a very nice

and funny guy.

Lourdes Saeteros, 3rd ESO A

This year´s Christmas celebrations at our school will include an Austrian-Italian gift. We have the great honor of announcing that,

as part of our Christmas festival and Theatre pantomime soundtrack, our loving Music teacher María Peralta and the students

form 1st and 3rd level of ESO are working on performing the precious Christmas carol “Mille Cherubini in Coro”. In spite of being an

Italian Christmas carol, “Mille Cherubini in Coro” was composed by the great Austrian musician Franz Schubert, who joined the

Vienna Boys' Choir in his youth.

Here you are the lyrics of the carol and its translation into English.
