To determine the index examined mouth surface of

6 teeth: 43(83), 42(82), 41(81), 31(71), 32(72),33(73),painted with special solutions (Schiller-Pisarev,fuchsine, erythrosine) to assess the presence of

plaque.

1 - plaque is not identified;

2staining of one quarter of the surface of a toothcrown;

3 - staining of half of the surface of the tooth crown;4 - staining of three-quarters of the surface of the

tooth crown;

To assess the severity of gingivitis is used papillary-marginal-

alveolar index (PMA).

The assessment of gums inflammation is carried out visually or

staining by Schiller-Pisarevssolution.

CODES OF ASSESSMENT:

0inflammation isnt detected;

1 - inflammation of gingival papilla (P);

2 - inflammation of the marginal part of gums (M);

3 - inflammation of the alveolar part of the gums (A).
