HAPPENINGS
Name: Jenn Randazzo
Hometown: Independence, LA
Educa on: Bachelor’s in Marke ng from Southeastern Louisiana University
What do you do in your department, including job tle and area? I am a Coordinator/Staffing Partner in the Staffing & Employment Center within the Office of Human Resource Management. I help fabulous people find great jobs in an exci ng place!!
How long have you been with LSU?
I have been with LSU for 7 ½ years. I le this campus to work at another LSU campus closer to home, but that only lasted for one year before I had to get back to this beau ful campus!
What has been your most sa sfying or rewarding experience as an HR professional?
I used to say that I got into HR because I like to help people. At this me in my career, the most sa sfying part of my job is training. I get to help people by conduc ng training classes and giving them the resources they need to successfully perform their jobs.
What is the strangest thing you’ve ever run across in your HR career?
People!! They never cease to amaze me in the funny things they do and say. The best thing about working in the “people business” is that they always keep it interes ng.
What do you like most about working at LSU?
The environment of a university is so unique. I work in an office se ng that you may find at any company. But at LSU, I see faculty and students walking by; and I can hear the band prac cing or the clock tower chime. It’s a wonderful environment that makes the work day so enjoyable.
Tell us something interes ng about yourself.
Well, when I tell people that I live in Mandeville, they think it’s interes ng since I work in Baton Rouge. “You drive from Mandeville to Baton Rouge every day!?” I think what they are really asking is “Are you crazy!?” Ha! What can I say… I love living in Mandeville, but I also love working at LSU. It’s great being me!!

Healthy Substitutes… Die ng and ea ng healthy can be a difficult task. Check out a few different ways to can easily cut some calories out of your meals.
Use: Mashed Ripe Bananas
Instead of: Fats (bu er, margarine or shortening) when baking
Because: The consistency is ideal and bananas add nutrients such as potassium, fiber, and vitamin B6.
Use: Mashed Avocado
Instead of: Mayonnaise
Because: A 2‐tablespoon serving of mayonnaise has about 1,200 calories and 24 grams of fat. Half an avocado has about 115 calories and 10.5 grams of fat, and provides vitamin E and cholesterol‐checking mono‐saturated fat.
Use: Fat‐free, plain Greek yogurt
Instead of: Sour Cream
Because: Provides the flavor and texture of sour cream without all the fat and calories. Plus, the yogurt provides calcium and protein! “Health & Wellness Newsle er” Massad‐Olinde.com

Chips and Salsa: 10 baked tor lla chips and ¼ cup of salsa.
Cucumber Sandwiches: ½ English muffin topped with two tablespoons co age cheese and three cucumber slices. “Health & Wellness Newsle er” Massad‐Olinde.com
