Students will express feelings, ideas, experiences, and beliefs in a variety of ways. Communication: Viewing, Presenting, and Non-verbal Communication Thinking: Comprehension, Dialectical Thought, and Metacognition Students will be able to express themselves (their identity) through a range of different art forms. Students will view and interpret others’ artwork. Important Dates Unit Vocabulary Mathematics Shape and Space : Students will learn about patterns as well as 2D and 3D shapes. Language Arts Reading : Students will learn the reading strategy of visualization as well as learning about good reading habits. Writing : Students will explore poetry and inquire into different poetry features. Additionally, students will have opportunities to explore expressing opinions through writing. Viewing and Creating: Students will gain experience viewing a range of artistic modes and will have chances to create their own artistic expressions. Listening and Speaking : Students will think and talk about their own and other’s artwork.
