How to edit the text on your OpenSRSStorefront homepage

This is the standard home page that OpenSRS Storefront provides. There area few different themes, but all the elements are the same. Until now, the text inthe red box was static, and couldn't be edited by Resellers.

To edit the home page, log into either the Reseller Web Interface (RWI), andthen click on "Configure your Storefront" or you can head straight to theStorefront Manager if you wish.

Once in the Storefront Manager, click on "Basic Store Settings" which brings upthe following page.

Scroll down to the bottom of that page.

Now click "Edit Homepage" to bring up the home page editor.

You'll see a graphical representation of the editable elements of the homepage. We'll start by editing the Header text. Click the "Edit" button in theHeader area.

That brings up this editor window. You can choose the default text, or...

You can edit the text and then click "Save" at the bottom of the page to makethe changes live on your Storefront.

You can see here that the text in the header has been replaced with my newtext.

Going back to the Edit homepage screen now, I'm going to edit the sub headerarea next by clicking the "Edit" button on the Sub Header section.

That brings up a similar editing window where I can edit the text that appearsjust below the header text.

I've edited my text and clicked "Save" and it's now live on my Storefront.

How to create and link to a promotionspage on your OpenSRS Storefront

Starting at the Storefront Manager homepage, click "Basic Store Settings".

Scroll down to the bottom of that page.

Then click on "Edit Promotions Page" where you can enable and add contentto your new promotions page.

Add your desired text and format it either using the WYSIWYG editor, or switchto Source view and edit HTML directly. You'll note that the URL for the page isprovided along with a handy link so you can see the results as they appear onyour Storefront.

Here's my new promotions page with some promotional copy that I've added.I've also included a date so my customers will know this is current content.

Next, I'll want to link to my promotions page so customers can find the content.I'm going to add that to the sub header area of my home page. I've switchedover to edit that (the other tutorial shows you how to get to this page if you'rehaving trouble.You can include text with hyperlinks - I've made "see the details" a hyperlink tothe promotions page using the URL that was provided when I created andenabled the page in the previous step.
