As our Trailer is a Teen movie we decided after

looking at lots of other teen movies the font was bold

and quite ‘childish’ but always brightly coloured. In

our trailer we have used different bright colours

when the titles are shown, and on our poster we have used a ‘Showtime’ effect

title and filled it with bright colours so it stands out.

Our aim for our poster was to make it brightly coloured and fun so that it will stand out to a wide range of people. As a teen movie

the audience will expect an entertaining story e.g ‘romance’

with a variety of characters including a ‘geek’. To link our

poster to our film trailer we used the same character ‘Jack’. His

picture reflects his smiley character and the music notes around him show his love for

music and dancing.

We found that it was important that as Jack was the main character that we had to take the clip of him from when he is dancing wearing his ‘Disco pants’ and use this image for the magazine front cover

background. Jacks outfit shows his personality as bubbly and shows that he loves dancing but isnt a

serious character.

Albey, is Jacks best friend in the film. He is the typical ‘Geek’ character in a teen movie, that loves maths and always knows the right decisions. Albey is the

character that looks out for jack when he thinks he is making the wrong choice, and as he is a character in our main product shown a lot we used him in our poster. As

our film is teen movie we felt that the audience would expect a bright and joyful looking poster with a range of different stereotypical characters. This was another reason to include Albey as he is the opposite to Sadey. On our poster we added

maths symbols around the face of his character as this shows his personality clearly and his interests, which could attract an audience that has similar interests or that

love a variety of characters.

We found it important when designing all our of products that the main characters in the film needed to be shown. For example on our Poster we included Sadey; Jacks admirer. We felt this was significant as in the film she is a big character that has an impact on Jacks life, therefore when the audience look at the poster they will have more of an idea about the film. The pictures used on our magazine front cover and

poster of Sadey are very cheerful and shows that she is a very happy character, this is also portrayed in the film trailer so therefore links together, and gives a clear idea of her personality. We also wanted our poster and magazine to stand out, so used bright colours such as pink and yellow, as this would attract peoples attention but

also reflects on the characters girly attitude.

The title of the film and the form that it is

written in is a big give away of the genre of the film. We therefore chose a simple font, that isn't joined up as this is a ‘childish font’. We also carried this

type of font throughout the trailer in the titles, and used similar fonts on the magazine front

cover and poster.
