Main indicators of hotels, April 2004
The guest turnover and the gross room revenue grew dinamically, the occupancy rate ofhotel rooms improved compared to the same period of the previous year according to data ofobserved hotels during the first four months of 2004. In April increase continued relation to theprevious months’ tendency.
Methodological notes
„Hotel indexes” are prepared on the basis of data provided by the compulsorily included hotels (allof the four- and five-star hotels as well as those three-star hotels with the highest income ofaccommodation-fee, altogether 165 houses) and the voluntary hotels not designated for data provisionbut joining the system on a voluntary basis (4), sent in by the second working day following the subjectmonth in electronic way as of January 2003. In April,134 hotels met the data provision requirementsdefined by the Act on Statistics.
The interannum (monthly) data cannot be considered final, and they may – due to those datareceived with delay or retroactive corrections received from data providers – differ from the previouslypublished ones.
