Abortion should be listed as a weapon of mass destruction against the voice-less. Abortion killing centers should be declared terrorist death camps and never supported by our govern-ment and our tax dollars.

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, This month of November is dedicated to prayer for our dear departed loved ones. It should not deter us from full involvement in today’s world; in today’s challenges. Saint Paul has some harsh words to say to the Thessalonians who thought all Jesus’ disciples need to do is sit around pas-sively waiting for Him to come again. No! He wants us actively engaged in cooperating in the work of salvation here and now. Concretely what does that mean? Participating in the life of our parish family; particularly in our worship togeth-er. Strengthen your relationship with Jesus through prayer together at Mass and other devo-tions. Stand by members of the parish who are needy and hurting. There is much to do now in building up the Body of Christ while still remem-bering those who came before. I am sure they support us with their prayers. So, neither Thessa-lonians nor Sadducees! Living in the present while building on the richness of our faith tradi-tion. Your friend and pastor,

Fr. David J. Kozak ———————————————————————————————

Giving Tree Items…start thinking

Thank you for your willingness to support the Pregnancy

and Parenting Support Program at Catholic Charities, Dio-

cese of Allentown through the annual Giving Tree collec-

tion. As you may know the Catholic Charities office loca-

tion has moved, and the new location has significantly

less space to store items throughout the year. With this

in mind, we are asking for gift cards to places that sell

baby items (i.e.: Walmart, Target, & Kmart). These gift

cards will not be distributed directly to clients, but will

allow Catholic Charities to purchase larger items and

items that are needed on a case by case basis like car

seats, strollers, and coats, etc. It will also allow Catholic

Charities to replenish other items as the needs arise. Gift

cards may be dropped off anytime during December at

the rectory or drop gift Cards in the Collection Basket on

the weekends during December for that purpose!

H.G. Social Committee News

THANK YOU to the parishioners, businesses and Friends of Holy Ghost who supported the 2019 Fall Fair. We are still waiting for all bills to be received and processed before we can announce this year’s profit;

we are confident that we exceeded last year’s re-sults. The most important upshot from our Fall Fair is how so many people came together in support of our parish. We would not be successful without our donors and volunteers. They share their time and talents and do not worry about titles or roles. This recent parish bulletin contains a list of peo-ple who supported the 2019 Fall Fair with their do-nations and/or help preparing for the Fall Fair weekend. We want to acknowledge their contribu-tions and let them know they are valued.
