Higher education Technical Institute (HTI) for Mechanics System

§ Higher education Technical Institute (HTS) for Mechanics System isa "Special school of technology" introduced into Italian nationallegislation since 2008.

§ The main objective is to organise short cycle technical trainingcourses (5° EQF, duration: 1800 hours) in mechanics for highschool’s graduates

• The courses organised by the Institute are innovative because they are basedon new strategic scenarios analysis in terms of innovation: ecoefficiency,green energy, new materials, process quality and traceability are issuesconstantly evolving for new globalized companies of automotive sector.

• The joint presence of enterprises, together with the university and thetechnical schools, guarantees know how transfer to students.

• Both postgraduate education and life-long learning programmes becomesynergetic resources to industries belonging to the Innovation Pole formechanics (Institute’s partner), which is offering experience and achievedskilled human capital.

§ The experience of HTI sees the active involvement of companies in allphases of operation with the other partners (through working groups madeup of employees of companies, universities, schools):• designing training course modules;• fellows selection (made by recruitment experts);• technical and specialized teaching activities;• designing project work/internship and selecting candidates (through

§ It is expected to build an coordinated offer between technical colleges,vocational schools and regional education and training system

§ The goal is to create a true dual training system according to the principleof school-business based with a closer collaboration among business andschool system
