  • EARLY START PROGRAM (ESP)Students must begin their remediation the summer before their fall enrollment at a CSU through ESP.

    Initial determination of expected participation in ESP will be done via SAT/ACT or EAP scores.

    ELM/EPT, if required, must be taken as early as possible (no later than May) to officially determine participation in ESP.

    Information on a students requirement to take ESP or placement exams (EPT & ELM) is available on their Smart Page at https://my.fresnostate.edu.

  • Students will notify Fresno State of how they will complete their required ESP participation after they accept their admission to Fresno State.

    Students may complete ESP at Fresno State, other CSUs, or CCCs.
