  • CAL GRANT UPDATE

Pre-application website - http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/before012.htmChange from Alien Registration Card to Permanent Resident Card to use appropriate / current terminology.Combat pay is partially taxed & partially untaxed income. Taxable portion of combat pay is included in the AGI. Include ALL combat pay in Income Earned from Work. Report non-taxable portion of combat pay in Worksheet B. Report EIC in Worksheet A, if eligible. For Non-Tax Filers, total amount of combat pay should be reported as Income Earned from Work ONLY (Questions 38-39, 76-77), because Income Earned from Work plus Untaxed Income on Worksheets A & B, are used in need analysis to calculate the EFC.
