A Note from Your Director….
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances;… Welcome to November!!! It is really nice having that little bit of crispness in the air now and to see the leaves starting to fall. These are signs that let us know the fall season is upon us and Thanksgiving is around the corner. In the CDC we have much to be thankful for. Last year construction began on the new playground that our children are now enjoying and this year will bring construction on the new sprinkler system that will begin in 2-3 weeks. We will send you more information on this as time gets closer. Also, our teachers have been taking various classes so they can bring bigger and better things to the classroom and we are very thankful for them and all they do. With Thanksgiving comes our annual Thanksgiving Parade on Tuesday, November 19, that begins at 10 AM following the K4 Program. Please plan to join us and stay for lunch immediately afterward. The cost for lunch will be $5 per adult and we will need you to RSVP for lunch by Tuesday, November 12, so we can place food orders. You will be given a ticket at this time that you will need to present at the banquet to get your plate and be entered for a door prize. At this time of year we get caught up in turkeys, parades, and football and then we jump straight to our Christmas wish list and all the festivities and lights. So, I challenge you to stop and ask yourself each day this month, “What is one thing that you are thankful for today?” Then voice that prayer of Thanksgiving, for God is Good!!!

Child Development Center
Government Street Baptist Child Development Center is a ministry of Government Street Baptist Church and is designed for infants through age three. We enlist Christian adults with warm, loving, personalities that will convey God’s love to the children in their care. Our desire is to provide a safe, secure, and loving environment for your children, but also a place where they will be spiritually and intellectually challenged at an early age to prepare them for school in the years ahead.
At Government Street Baptist CDC, we believe that the primary responsibility of spiritual, emotional, and social training is the parents. However, we are here to assist you and support you in your efforts as a parent to bring up your child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. When we work together as a team, your child will become well-educated, well-trained to make right decisions, able to cope with problems, and ready to accept responsibility as appropriate for his or her age.
