process piping Conduct performance qualification testing of pressure welders and machine welding operators
ASME U –stamp for manufacture of pressure vessel
NBBI ULC
Manufacture of vertical and horizontal tanks CWB
Certified to CSA standard W 47.1 for Fusion welding of steel
Standards Compliant to: API 650 11th Edition. API 620 AWWA D100 GLM Standard (GOOD INDUSTRY PRACTICES) ASME Section VIII and IX ASME B31.3 NBC 2010 OH&S FIRE CODE
Our values: Safety first Integrity of design and Perform Quality Work Transparency of information Commitment to satisfy Targets and Deadlines Ethics Professionalism
Our Capabilities: Complete design of tanks and pressure vessels. Heating calculations for Fire tubes, electric, steam and glycol heating
system. Design of burner system as per CSA B149.3. Maximum fluid in and out flow rate calculation. Pressure safety valve and Pressure vacuum safety valve sizing
calculation. Tank pressure de-rating calculation to increase the pressure or flow rate. Load cell and structure design if the fluid is measured by weight. Laser scanning and sizing the tank if real state is an issue. Forensic Engineering and under pining for foundation heaving. Expansion joints with monitoring and secondary containment design. Lift design of roofs and tanks.
Our Tools: AME Tank
AME Tank can produce both 2-D & 3-D models.
It is capable of performing calculation as per API 650 providing the opportunity to double check design calculations and manufacturability (identifying interference of parts) .
Models built in AME Tank can be exported to Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to speed up the production of drawings.
Our Tools (continued…): GLM Custom built Excel Program for
designing (including calculations) Tanks and components.
Updated to comply with the latest version of API 650.
Approved accuracy of Calculations.
Our Tools (continued…): FEA Software. GLM is utilizing Simulation Mechanical by Autodesk
Predict Product Performance Optimize Product Designs Validate Design Decisions Build it, break it, and fix it prior to hitting the shop floor…
Our Tools (continued…): Nozzle/PRO and FE/Pipe
Uses FEA for predicting allowable nozzle loads Design Nozzles and Reinforcing Pads to support existing loads
provided by piping department.
Our Tools (continued…): Compress
Uses FEA for predicting allowable thickness Code calculation for pressure vessels
Example of some projects Example of design of roof lift
Design stage:
Design implementation:
Example of some projects Example of design of roof lift
Outcome:
Example of some projects Example of lifting the tank
Loading (3 point air bag lift) Due to symmetry tank was modelled as one half of the original.
Example of some projects Example of lifting the tank (continued…)
Stresses at the lifting points:
Deflection of the bottom plate (with magnification 10)
Our Approach: Prepare calculations, General Arrangement drawings for all the tanks,
Inspection Test Plan and Welding Procedures for Client’s approval.
Be proactive: starting detail design and make necessary changes as client approval arrives.
Scheduling shop built parts for uninterrupted field erection.
Willing to work simultaneously on several tanks within our scope.
Our involvement will be spontaneous to all parts of all the tanks that purchased from sub vendors.
Set target to achieve all deadlines.
Work progress: Being proactive, we have prepared
calculations, 50 drawings as well as part of the General Arrangement (GA) drawings for designs for tanks.
Hoping to have some clarification in this meeting (thanks to the organizers) so that we can produce almost flawless design and Detail drawings.
Summary: We are prepared to:
Perform quality work Hit all deadlines
We are looking forward to work with all our clients.
