3.1 SCHEME GENYEM HPP1 Maximum Generation Flow.
The maximum design generation flow shall be the flow through
the scheme which is necessary to produce the Contractor’s
guaranteed power output (i.e., with all generating equipment
operating), taking account of the available gross head, hydraulic
losses, compensation flow, turbine efficiency, generator
efficiency and transformer / switchyard efficiency.

9 Water Hammer and Surge Hydraulic Analysis:
The results of the analyses shall be presented to the Employer in
both numerical and graphical format. The graphical formats shall,
as a minimum, show the surge pressures / wave heights that are
developed in the penstock, tunnel, surge chamber and headrace
with respect to time for the following conditions:
i) Water hammer analysis to determine the maximum and
minimum water pressure in the headrace, tunnel, surge
chamber, and penstock resulting from a sudden shut down of
all the generating equipment operating at the maximum
generation flow, with:- The head pond water level at the full supply level.
- The head pond water level at the maximum flood level.
ii) Water hammer analysis to determine the maximum and
minimum water pressure in the headrace, tunnel, surge
chamber, and penstock resulting from a normal start-up of all
the generating equipment to the maximum generation flow,
with the head pond water level at the full supply level.
iii) Surge analysis to determine the maximum height of the
surge wave in the headrace, tunnel, and surge chamber
resulting from a sudden shut down of all the generating
equipment operating at the maximum generation flow, with:- The head pond water level water level at the full supply
