    The Clars Foundationis a non-prot organization whose main aims are the ght against pro-found hearing loss and offer medical cooperation in Third World countries in the ORL eld.

    The Clars Foundationattends the needs in Emergent countries, and at the same time pro-vides scholarships to doctors with no nancial resources, since 1997. Offers instructional cour-ses in Emergent Eastern Europe countries, Asia, Africa.

    The Clars Foundation, for years has been conducting its mission in the elds of audiolo-gy, speech rehabilitation, othorhinolaryngology, phoniatrics, facial plastic surgery and oralsurgery. These projects have been materialized in many parts of the world, including India,Rumania, Republic of Moldavia, Ethiopia, Senegal, Liberia, Cameroon, Gabon, Gambia, Kenya,D.R. Congo, Sudan and shortly in new destinations with the donation of medical supplies, es-sential life-saving medicines, and needed medical equipment which otherwise would not beavailable, and providing free medical care and surgeries to people in need, as well.

    Additionally, donates and adapts hearing aids and some hearing implants to patients affected

    with hypoacusia.These missions show the internationality of Clars Foundation

    HISTORY:

    In 1992 Dr. Pedro Clars and his team began their humanitarian project, travelling toIndia, complementing their medical activity at Clnica Clars in Barcelona.

    In 1997 Clars Foundation was created and began conducting humanitarian activities

    in devoloping countries. In 2000 Clars Foundation is ofcially registered with No.1466 and VAT No.G-62421482. It is governed by a Board of Trustees which supports and advises theFoundation.

    Since then, Clars Foundation travels several times a year (6-8) to Africa, EasternEurope and India.

    Till today, Clars Foundation has conducted about 75 missions.

    OUR MISSION:

    Fight against the profound hearing loss in developing countries.

    Offer medical assistance in otorhinolaryngology as well as face, head and neck pa-thologies to patients with no nancial means. Since 1997 offers scholarships to young doctors from Emergent countries to expand

    their studies in the Otorhinolaryngology eld at Clnica Clars, Barcelona. Contributes donating medical-surgical material to hospitals where it conducts mis-

    sions. Promotes teaching of otorhinolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery through courses

    and seminars.

    OUR SMALL CONTRIBUTION:

    In the last 15 years we have travelled more that 60 times to 15 countries(Eastern Europe, Africa and India).

    We have conducted about 2700 surgeries which include nose, neck, ear and 1600pathologies including tumors and face and neck malformations.

    We have donated and implanted a total of 32 cochlear implants. We have adapted 1800 hearing aid devices donated by several audioprosthesiccompanies which collaborate with us.

    We have contributed with medical-surgical and pharmaceutical material to all ourhumanitarian destinations.
