    RF PLANNING

    TEST MOBILE SYSTEM (TEMS)

    TEMS is the drive test tools by Ericsson

    TEMS consists of Mobile Station with special software, laptop and a

    GPS receiver Phone with built in features, a serial cable and pc

    software packagePC is used for presentation, control and storage of measurements

    GPS will give the position of the measurements

    The TEMS measurements can be imported to a planning tool

    with the use of file and information converting system (FICS)

    The measurements can be displayed on the map so that the

    measured handovers can be compared with the predicted cellboundaries

    The information can be displayed in real time or recorded and

    relayed

    SURVEY

    GROUND BASE TOWER SITE (GBT)

    Sufficient space should be avble for the GBT site

    Soil should not be back field one

    Soil condition should be good

    There should not be any high tension wire

    There should not be railway line near site it

    should be twice of the tower heightSite should not be in low laying area

    There should not be any pipe line

    Access to the site for transportation purpose

    ROOF TOP TOWER SITE (RTT)

    Columns should be in continuity from the foundation to

    the top

    Reinforcement of columns to be checkedSize of columns to be checked accurately

    Structural drawing to be checked if available

    Life of structure to be checked

    Slab should be in good condition

    Enough space to be available for erection of towerSufficient space to be available for open the door of

    shelter

    There should be no high-tension wire in the close area

    There should be space for earthing pits, routing of power

    cable and strips

    Access to the terraceAccess to the building
