TROCELLEN CLASSIC TROCELLEN ® classic, our core product line, consists of horizontally foamed XLPO material manu– factured in rolls or sheets. Since 1972 these foams are regarded as an industry standard based on their proven application performance. Within this product line we produce two foam variations that differ in cross-linking technique: Chemically crosslinked foams (C-foams) are characterized by their very abrasion resistant surface and excellent thermomouldability, which makes them suitable for very technical applications. Physically crosslinked foams (P-foams). Due to the physical cross-linking process our p-foams show very specific properties, differing from c-foams especially in surface and cell structure, but also in other values like thermal properties, tensile strength, compression set, shrinkage or fogging values. TROCELLEN ® classic rolls and sheets are typically offered in densities between 25 kg/m 3 and 250kg/m 3 . The thickness varies between 2 mm and 20 mm. We developed a wide range of foam modifications which can be characterized by certain specific properties, e.g.: Fire resistance, Tempe- rature resistance, Softness, Hardness (Rigidity). TROCELLEN VERTICAL These physically cross-linked polyolefin foams offer massive potential for a wide range of applica- tions, where very thin foams with a smooth surface and a fine cell structure are required. TROCELLEN ® vertical is produced in thicknesses between 0,5 and 6 mm and in densities varying from 25 to 180 kg/m 3 . Crosslinking by irradiation and vertical foaming technology also permits the incorporation of poly- propylene (PP) as a base resin for foam production. Foams manufactured from PP show a higher temperature resistance. TROCELLEN BLOC Our product line TROCELLEN ® bloc offers chemically cross-linked blockfoams manufactured by using a discontinuous foaming process. These foams can be produced in higher thicknesses and show a very smooth cell structure after removing the skin. TROCELLEN ® bloc is manufactured in densities of 25, 30, 45 and 100 kg/m 3 . Low densities are origi- nally produced in 100 mm thickness, while our high density foam is produced in 40 mm thickness. All products can be splitted to obtain thin layers, starting from 5 mm upwards. TROCELLEN GmbH TROCELLEN UK TROCELLEN France S.a.r.l. TROCELLEN Ibérica S.A. TROCELLEN S.E.A. SANDALS

TROCELLEN polyethylene foams can be used to fill sandals

soles in order to lighten them. PE Foams with EVA additives can

be found in applications in production of insoles for injected

sandals. EPDM foam laminated to elastic textiles is a valid solu-

    tion for upper.

    SKI BOOTS

There are two different constructions of internal ski boots: the

traditional one (see above drawing) where different types of ma-

terials, PE, EPDM, Extruded EVA, agglomerate and polyurethane

foams are sewn together and the thermoformed one in which the

entire boot is produced using PE foam laminated to textile and

    then thermoformed.

    TREKKING SHOES

As the drawing above shows, TROCELLEN can be used with

adhesive for stuffing, perforation and lamination to Nylon for

Upper and combined with different types of textiles, anti-shock

    gel or EVA for insoles.

    MOTOR BOOTS

These types of sport shoes require comfortable and at the same

time resilient materials. For this reason R&D men find it

useful to combine our TROCELLEN PE foams with polyuretha-

ne foams and/or elastic materials like EPDM foam used for stuf-

    fing.

    STREET SHOES

Expanded foam products from TROCELLEN are used in very

diverse forms in shoe construction, for example as cuff cushio-

ning, inner lining, upper materials (with very finely perforated

    PE foam) and eyelet reinforcements.

    SLIPPERS

Main application of TROCELLEN products in this type of shoes

is for insoles, lining and uppers.

    SOLE INLAYS

Consist of various types of PE foam heat-laminated or sewn with

numerous textiles, active carbon materials, leather etc. and then

    thermally moulded or stamped flat.

    CYCLE SHOES

Breathable lining and comfortable insoles are a must for cycle

shoes. These characteristics can be satisfied by new particular

textiles laminated to polyurethane foams and insoles produced

with innovative foams like: TROCELLEN comfort.03 &/or D03

foams laminated to absorbent textiles and perforated under the

    toe-end.

    .

    SAFETY SHOES

Protection against steel (or other material) safety heel and anti-

static/conductive insoles are the applications for TROCELLEN

converted products. Conductive PE -and Polyurethane foams

with adhesive in strips are products created on purpose for safe-

    ty shoes.
