An Ash Wednesday PrayerMerciful God, you called us forth from the dust of the earth;you claimed us for Christ in the waters of Baptism.Look upon us as we enter these Forty Days bearing the mark of ashes, and bless our journey through the desert of Lentto the font of rebirth. May our fasting be hunger for justice; our alms, a making of peace; our prayer, the chant of humble and grateful hearts. All that we do and pray is in the name of Jesus, for in his cross you proclaim your love for ever and ever. Amen

Dear Community Member,

We are writing to ask your support for our upcoming Spring Auction. Each year, the St. Michael Catholic School PTO commits to raise a minimum of $35,000 to support the educational programs for our students. In August 2012, we became an Accredited School through AdvancEd/SACS and are excited about the opportunity to continue our educational excellence. Each spring, our PTO organizes a special evening comprised of both a live and silent auction with many exciting items to bid on. This event, which is our biggest fundraiser of the year, will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Kimbels Restaurant in Wachesaw Plantation.

We realize you must be selective in your choice of charitable donations and we sincerely hope you choose to support the children of St. Michael Catholic School. Your donated item(s) will generate immeasurable good will and publicity. It’s also 100% tax deductible due to our 501(c)3 status. Your generous support will be acknowledged at every opportunity, including our auction Facebook page, Parish Bulletin, Spring Auction program and the weekly parent newsletter (Gator Bites). Upon receipt of the item(s), a formal letter of confirmation and appreciation for your tax purposes will be sent to you.

To participate, please mail your item to:St. Michael Catholic School542 Cypress AvenueMurrells Inlet, SC 29576Attn: Spring Auction

Alternatively, we can arrange to pick up donation items at your request. For more information, please feel free to contact us directly. You may contact me through the school office at 843-651-6795 and leave them a message, or at the following email address: [email protected].

The families of St. Michael Catholic School greatly appreciate your support and we thank you in advance for your consideration of this request.

Sincerely,
