R.C.I.A. RITE OF ELECTION AND RITE OF

CALLING CANDIDATES TO CONTINUING

CONVERSION

On the first Sunday of Lent, in every diocese throughout the world,

catechumens celebrate, with their Bishop, the Rite of Elecon and

candidates celebrate the Rite of Calling Candidates to Connuing

Conversion. A Candidate, Robert Eggert, from our parish will join

candidates and catechumens from other parishes in the Diocese

Sunday aGernoon at the Cathedral. Their journey to Recepon into

the Catholic Church has been a gradual process which has taken

place within this parish.

We, the enre parish community, have the primary responsibility for

the preparaon of Robert through our prayers, our example and our

parcipaon in the various Rites. He cannot move into the next

phase or be recognized for his progress by Bishop Checchio at the

Call to Connuing Conversion without our recommendaon. His

catechists and sponsor have publicly declared that he is ready to live

faithfully the commitment of the sacraments he will receive with us.

Based on that discernment, we, his parish family send him today to

the Rite to Call to Con&nuing Conversion with our blessings and our

prayers. Today we invite Robert to fuller parcipaon in our parish

community’s work: preaching the Good News, prayer, reconciliaon,

worship and servicefor the life of the world. At the Easter Vigil

Robert will be received into the Catholic Church and receive

Confirmaon and Eucharist.

We invite all of you to become Spiritual Sponsors for Robert who

needs our prayers, encouragement, support, etc., as he enters the

final period of his preparaon to receive the Sacrament of iniaon.

You can see a picture of Robert on the bullen board at the front

entrance of the church.

antine mosaics, beautiful fishing villages and pre-

served Greek Temples. Enjoy deep fried rice balls

mention the gelatos. There are plenty terracotta

hand-painted pottery, and jewelry as well. The Wed-

ding chapel at Our Lady of Tears is a place that

brings much peace as many pilgrims go there asking

for help for their marriages and families. The high-

light of the tour is to visit the Shrine of Padre Pio

who is lies as an incorruptible in a glass tomb. A

tour of Rome brings you to see the major highlights

including the Sistine Chapel and Papal Audience.

PARISH MISSION

Celebrating

our Centennial

Under God’s Mercy!

April 2224, 2020 at 7:30 pm

The first two evenings (Wednesday and Thursday)

will focus on parish life, as

the instrument for healing in

our society. We especially

welcome anyone suffering

from addiction, fear, anxiety,

broken relationships, and

terminal illnesses. In the

words of our Lord to Sister

Faustina: “Greater the sinners

the greater the right they

have to My Mercy” Meditative music will be provided

by Sean Plante and David Valla. The mission concludes

on Friday evening with confessions at 6:00 PM. Mass

at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 24 will include a blessing

for healing with a relic of St. Faustina along with the

singing of the Divine Mercy.

There is no cost for the Mission but a free will offering

is welcomed to support the work of the Divine Mercy

fathers. Religious items and literature will be

available for purchase each evening. Cake and coffee

will be provided in the church hall following the Mass

on Friday evening.

We thank the “Angels Praying for You” healing ministry who

visited us at the 4:00 PM mass here at St. Andrew. They have

visited 7 church on Saturday, Feb 29th praying the rosary

throughout the day. They offered to come and conclude their

“retreat” day with prayers for us in this very special anniversary

year, praying for success for all of our iniaves and plans. It is

our earnest desire that our centennial will be a way to open the

door to healing, that many more will find a home here to worship

in love and service. Thank you to our parishioner Ma Theresa

Sagcal for offering this grace filled moment.
