On this SERT I learned many valuable skills. I was able to improve my ability to work, live and get along with a large group of people with many different personalities, for an extended period, often living in difficult circumstances, such as within the rainforest. I also learned field skills such as the fundamentals of the audio array method (spatial explicit capture-recapture) for assessing primate population density, primate group position triangulation and butterfly trapping. During the trip I was also able to conduct questionnaire surveys with tourists, which helped improve my confidence and social interaction skills. I also took many photos on the trip using my photography skills, which will hopefelly be utilized by the LEAP website. 112
