TTeeaacchheerrss NNootteess These crosswords are a fun way to supplement classroom learning over a wide range of topics.

Many of the questions require research, and answers will be found quickly on the internet.

While the puzzles are aimed at mainstream students in the 10-14 year age group, they are also suitable for very bright children under 10; equally, students 14+ will also find many of the puzzles useful.

The puzzles may be given as in-class activities (where internet is available) or as homework.

The clues will reveal more than 500 useful pieces of general knowledge. Completion of any one puzzle will make the student wiser and more knowledgeable in that particular subject area; completion of all 20 will greatly enhance knowledge and understanding of the world in general.

As incentives, teachers may wish to consider rewarding students in some or all of the following ways: Award for: * fastest completed crossword * neatest completed crossword * most interesting extra information found during research * most correct answers in teacher’s quiz using a particular crossword * most completed crosswords * World Quiz based on crosswords
