DW 750*52 DirectWind 750 Dutch Innovation World-Wide EWT This new company in the windener- gy, took over the technology and the know-how from the former turbine manufacturer Lagerwey the Windmaster. In this way, the compa- ny has acquired a rich history of innovation and technological break- throughs, producing cost-effective, high yeilding wind turbines. The DW 750 is using the highly advanced direct drive technology. With this technology, the gearbox is absent, and the number of compo- nents is reduced significantly. A designed single bearing system supports the rotor and the genera- tor, rotating in one unit. As a result, the vulnerability has been reduced to a minimum and the maintenance procedures simplifed. Due to the full variable speed and the full power back-to-back converter the turbine produces electrical power of an excellent quality. Power Quality Optimised grid properties allow for better utilisation of existing infrastructure and may save grid connection costs. The variable speed 750 kW turbine is ready for present and future requirements, due to its sophisticated converter system and advanced control electronics. An important programmable function is the power factor, which can be adjusted on demand.
