1.1  E1/T1 Channel Map

Check the Radio link Summary, to know exactly the available bandwidth on air. In thefollowing example the bandwidth for E1 traffic is 8 E1.

From the GUI interface, select:

Link configuration>Data Link>E1/T1 Channel Map

Click on "Update" pushbutton, in order to reset the Channel Map view area.

Once created the channel mappings, in order to run a 2Mbs traffic test, connect onemapped tributary port to a traffic test generator in one IDU, and prepare a loop on theremote IDU port. In case is not available a hardware loop software loops arepossible.

In the GUI interface, select:

Link configuration>Data Link>E1/T1 Ports

Channel section Checkbox – Select channel(s) to apply configurations. Thenumber of available channels is dependent on the equipment configuration. Anychannels that appear in grey color are inactive.

•  MA indicates that the channel is a Master IO card front panel port.

•  EX indicates that the channel is an Expansion IO card front panel port.

1.2.3  Only SDH traffic

Flexi Hybrid can be configured as a pure SDH traffic radio link regenerator.

The SDH frame (STM1) is transparently passed through the Radio Link.

In this case the Radio link has no Ethernet or PDH traffic.

In Link configuration the IDU operational mode has to be set as follows on bothradios: 28.128-1s which means: 28 MHz bandwidth space, 128 QAM modulation, 1STM1 data traffic.

1.4  STM Trace Message

STM Trace Message screen is available only if the Enhanced Master IO Card andthe Mini IO module are installed in the equipment (STM-1 Optical or STM-1 ElectricalMini IO).

It is possible to copy the cross connectionsOnce editing the cross connections select all of them with the mouse and clicks theright button. Choose "Copy".

Select the other Radio.

In the same menu select again the data and with right mouse, choose "Paste".

1.6  Ring Routing Configuration

This Menu is available in case of east-west configuration.

The user isset the restoring mode (automatic or manual) in case of the RingConfiguration. If the automatic mode has been selected it will be possible to set therestore delay.

The parameters listed in this page are:

•  Ring Routing Mode – Automatic/Manual.

•  Restore Delay – Enter the suitable delay (If the routing mode is Automatic).

•  Force Protection Switch – By pressing Start the forcing operation of the RingProtection Switch is activated (the Standby path becomes Active). By pressing

Stop the forcing command is released.
