Discover 5 foods that reduce your toxin load
Find a tasty recipe to combat liver toxins
Where Are
From the air we breathe to the food we eat, water we drink,
and products we put on our bodies and in our homes,
each exposes us to an overload of environmental toxins.
Reducing Your Toxin Load
Top 2 Ways:
Educate yourself as to what things cause this exposure and
do your best to avoid it.
Eat foods that strengthen your body’s detoxification
pathways as well as boost your immune system.
Which Foods Should You Eat?
Following 5 foods can help support liver detoxification by
altering levels of liver enzymes involved in deactivating and
clearing toxic compounds from your body.
1. Greens
Chlorophyll may actually be able to bind cancer-
causing chemicals, allowing chemicals to be
excreted by the body instead of being absorbed.
Try: Barley or Wheatgrass, Chard or Kale, Lambs Quarters or Dandelion
2. Cruciferous Vegetables
These powerhouse vegetables not only help
promote liver detoxification, but they also
contain indole-3-carbinol, a compound that
helps balance estrogen levels.
Try: Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, and Cabbage
3. Turmeric
This delicious spice contains a phytochemical called curcumin,
which decreases inflammation and promotes liver
detoxification.
Tip: Sprinkle on any meal, in any smoothie or juice.
4. Beets
The colorful pigments in beets may help
support liver detoxification and also
serve as potent antioxidants in addition
to being nutrient-rich.
5. Garlic
In addition to garlic’s detoxifying properties, studies suggest
that populations with higher garlic intake have decreased risk
for stomach and colorectal cancers.
