• 180 recruitment companies (including all Federgon members)

• Company websites were visited

• Inventory of social media profiles through various search engines and tools including platforms themselves

• Recruitment Professionals

• Over 855 profiles analyzed in LinkedIn for completeness and reach

• Professionals are both part of small and large companies

• LinkedIn has 70 million members, Facebook 500 million and Twitter 150 million

• In Belgium LI has 700K members, FB 3.5M and Twitter 100K users

• In Belgium 10.000 people join LinkedIn on a monthly basis

• 251 companies in Human Resources

Conclusions

• Recruitment companies are present in social by mainly through their employees

• Other than LinkedIn and Newsletters, the rest of social media is unknown territory

• Recruitment companies are not visible nor engaging their candidates – One way traffic!

• Social media is seen as another pool to fish in

So what is not allowed?

• 3% have multiple profiles

• 1% has a Company logo instead of a picture

• 5% have email or phone numbers in headline

• Recruitment professionals have incomplete profiles

• Profiles do not demonstrate their level of professionalism

• Recruitment professionals are not joining the conversation

• No reputation, branding of trust building is being done
