On a rainy day, drivers cannot see the side mirrors because of the water droplets formed by the rain.Solutions in the market:

Surface area for wiping limitedMini shelter at the top:Does not protect well

Solution

We could use a plastic which is flexible, transparentand durable to rotate around the window so that therain will only be on the plastic and not the window itself.This will let the driver and passenger see thingsoutside the window through the window and plastic.

Development

Use a plastic to rotate around the window for clearer view on rainy days.

Add in a wiper below the plastic for clearance of rainwater.

Add in a tube at the top of the window for smoothrotation of the plastic sheet.

Add in a frame for smoother rotation.

Challenges we faced:

There are too many problems in the beginning so wedid not know which idea to use.In the end, we used elimination method to come out

with some feasible ideas. We subsequently found more flaws in our product. We tried to overcome the flaws one by one by modifying our product.
