The International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR) is a
premier academic institution in India that fosters excellence in Information
Technology (IT) education and research. It is committed to meet the emerging and
challenging needs of the society by producing high quality professionals for the IT
industry. It aims to achieve this through the tripartite mission of teaching, research
and consultancy services. It focuses on all-round development of students to help
them become successful professionals and responsible citizens.
About the Institute
DSPM IIIT-Naya Raipur, established by the International Institute of Information Technology University Act, 2013 of the Government of Chhattisgarh, is a joint venture of Chhattisgarh State Government and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). The institute is committed to pursue excellence in higher education, research and development in Information Technology (IT) and associated disciplines. It firmly believes in bestowing knowledge dissemination and imparting entrepreneurial skills to the students to enable them to address real world problems. To empower this vision, IIIT-NR provides state-of-the-art research and education facilities and nurtures a campus culture that fosters high energy and enthusiasm in every individual, clubbed with highest standard of professionalism.
The IIIT-NR family comprises of students from diverse background, highly-qualified faculty from various disciplines, experienced and knowledgeable administrative and support staff, and a board of highly-eminent personalities from academia and industry, who mentor the institute.
The fifty-acre fully residential campus of IIIT-NR is located in the newly developed smart city of Naya Raipur, approximately 23 Kms. from the city of Raipur. The vibrant lush green campus of IIIT-NR is enabled with Wi-Fi connectivity, CCTV surveillance, hi-tech security measures and excellent amenities for sports and other recreational activities. The modern architecture of the buildings and the serene environment of the campus fosters an ambience for the students for creativity and innovation. The classrooms and laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies for teaching and learning.
Faculty
Recognizing the need for imparting education in all dimensions of learning, the institute has a highly-qualified and motivated team of academicians from Electronics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, English, Management Science and Humanities.
Research
Research in IIIT-NR has an applied/translational focus, addressing a critical gap in India. The endeavour of the Institute is to establish strong links with industry to strengthen applied research as well as hands-on learning to enable translation of technology to markets. Faculty members are encouraged to take up research and consultancy projects, whereas students work on research projects both within the institute and with industry.
Entrepreneurship
Fostering entrepreneurship is one of the primary objectives of the institute. Students are encouraged to work with industry and develop products to address real world solutions. One of the reasons for introducing theme based learning is to enable students to take up projects in allied disciplines at the intersection of IT and other fields, to develop solutions across domains.
Academics
IIIT-NR currently runs two undergraduate programmes: B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). These credit-based programmes are designed to foster core skills with innovation and entrepreneurship skills among students.The dynamic structure of the curriculum orchestrates with the changing needs of industry and academia.
l IIIT-NR has been established as a non-affiliating teaching and research University by the Chhattisgarh State Government
to achieve excellence in Information Technology and related areas.
l It is located in Naya Raipur, the state capital of Chhattisgarh, having good connectivity by air, rail and road.
l Naya Raipur, where IIIT-NR is located, is the educational hub of Chhattisgarh with several of the premier academic
institutes of Chhattisgarh (AIIMS, IIM, HNLU and IIIT-NR) located in this newly developed smart city.
l IIIT-NR is mentored by a highly eminent board consisting of Mr. Ajai Chowdhry (Founder-HCL), Prof. Arogyaswami Paulraj
(Marconi Award winner & Professor Emeritus, Stanford University) and other visionaries from Academia and Industry.
l IIIT-NR has a fully residential campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities for teaching, learning and on-
campus living.
l IIIT-NR currently runs two undergraduate programmes with industry-driven curriculum focusing on fostering innovation

Admissions
Admission to the undergraduate programmes of the DSPM
IIIT-NR is based strictly on the merit of the candidates as per
their performance in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination).The
minimum eligibility for applying for the B.Tech programmes
at IIIT-NR is 10+2 pass with 50% aggregate marks in
Physics and Mathematics (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Reservation
For admission to its undergraduate programmes, the
institute follows the State Government policy on reservation
for candidates from SC, ST, OBC, PH and Woman categories.
50% seats are reserved for those who possess domicile th th status of Chhattisgarh and have passed their 10 and 12
from the State of Chhattisgarh.
Fee Waiver
The Board has approved a waiver of tuition fees for the
meritorious students as per the following model:
