What part of today's message challenged, troubled or encouraged you? Joseph could have easily used his dysfunctional family as an excuse to live with a victim’s mentality or to be unfaithful. Do people use less than what Joseph went through to lose their moral bearings? How would you help someone to realize their past does not have to rule their present? Jacob showed favoritism to Joseph. Because of it Pastor Tim said, “Any time families show favoritism they are fanning the flames of sibling rivalries. You make a double effort to let all your children know that they are equally loved.” Do you think that is important? Why or why not? Joseph described some rather vivid dreams that caused his brothers anger and resentment. Why do you think Joseph shared the dreams with his brothers?
