    From our Pastor

    Pastor Rocky

The puzzle you see on the

front of this issue of Faith

    Directions is a picture of

    belongingthe privilege God

gives us to be a part of His family

the Church. You will notice that thepuzzle is missing a piece. The truth

is, when a puzzle is incomplete, it

will never bring complete joy to the

one who works to put it together. The

same is true with the church. The

Bible says in Ephesians 2:19, Now

you are no longer strangers to God

but you are members of Gods very

    own familyand you belong in

    Gods household with every other

    Christian. God is building (putting

    together) His church, and without

you, His church will be incomplete.

    This year, our annual stewardship

emphasis is entitled The Joy of

Belonging. I am convinced that the

Bible teaches that joy, Gods joy,

comes not only when we are served,

but when we are serving; not only

when we are given to, but when

we are giving; and not only when

we are shared with, but when we

are sharing the hope that we have

in Christ. As you take the time to

review our Ministry Action Plan and

the opportunities to give, to serve and

to shareour prayer is that you will

be compelled to get involved. And as

you do, discover the joy that comes

from truly belonging to His church.

    Excited to belong,

    2012proposedministryactionplan

    TestimonyBy Susan Harbrecht

Last Wednesday, the topic presented in chapel was on Hea

Following Chapel, our class returned for Morning Meet

time, and we began to discuss the Chapel Service and the

of heaven. We discussed that Jesus is the only way to hea

as He told Thomas in John 14: 5 I am the way, the truth,

the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me

Previously that week, our class had been given a tract ent

Whos Knockn at My Door? I knew God was leading

to share that particular tract as a follow up to chapel. A

end of the tract we prayed, giving the children an opportu

to open the door of their heart to Jesus, to trust Him to sa

them from their sins, and to tell Him that they want to liv

Heaven forever with Him. In order to better know how to

for them, I asked the class to let me know if they had pra

to ask Jesus into their heart for the rst time. Three stude

raised their hands! Tears of pure joy and gratitude stream

from my eyes. What a blessing to share Gods precious g

the Gospel with these precious children! He is so wonderf

loving, and so faithful! Jesus says, Behold, I stand at the

and knock. If anyone hears My voice, I will come into him

dine with him, and he with Me. Thank you Lord Jesu
