NELSON Mandela Bay’s Umkhon-toWesizweMilitaryVeteransAs-sociation (MKMVA) has comeout in strong support of the Afri-can National Congress (ANC)
and Danny Jordaan for the position of Execu-tive Mayor after the upcoming Local Govern-ment Elections on August 3.
Speakingduring amedia briefingheld at theGrand Hotel in Port Elizabeth on Monday, themilitary veterans’ chairperson, Ntsikelelo
Kwezi, said the MKMVA has been quiet for fartoo long.
“Since, the advent of democracy, we neverraised our voices on any issues. We have beenquiet. So at this point in time, perhaps you’dthink that our calling the media for a state-ment is unprecedented,” said Kwezi.
He said that they had, however, been ad-dressing issues these past three years. But see-ing the ANC lose the gains of the struggle fordemocracy and the (ANC supporter) numbersdwindling has forced them to decide to standup and get out of the cocoon so as to be countedin support of the ANC and the national demo-
cratic revolution.Kwezi said lack of leadership was the main
problem bedevilling the ANC, but since DrDanny Jordaan came to the fore to lead thecouncil, they had seen him do a sterling jobwhich led to financial prudence and politicalstability.
“He came with a clear, clean, strong and de-cisive leadership and administration that themetro municipality had long been waitingfor,” said Kwezi.
He said the executive mayor did well in ayear as the incumbent in establishing the Met-ro Police, that had been touted for many years,
and appointing former MK Commander LindaMti as the head of Safety and Security.
“As the former MK Commander, Mti knowsvery well what is required and as such, wehope he’d populate the organisation by draw-ingmetropolice fromtheranksof theMKMili-tary Veterans Association,” said Kwezi.
“MKMVAs were trained and prepared in po-licing, intelligence and military work,” said amember, Phakamile Ximiya.
He added that it was now the time for theANC to reap the rewards of its investment inthe military veterans – some of whom wereswelling the ranks of the unemployed.

BE HAPPY, YES U CANHE IS BACK AFTER 5 YEARS OF SEPARATION
Maria and Jacob(happily in love again)
My husband left me and went to London withanother woman for 5 years! I tried to bring himback, I visited priests and healers for help butfailed.Miss Jessica and Ligan looked through themirror and assured me that he’ll call within 4days, and I’ll pick him at the airport. He reallyphoned and he’s return after 5 years! He accurately read my fortune (for R200 con-sultation fee) & told me all my problems withoutme mentioning a word. He even used a mirror
to show me real-faces of people who were trying to pull me down.performed special-prayers for me, cleansed me
from badluck & also gave me powerful lovecrystals plus a special-ring to fixmy financial problems. Four (4) days after prayers my husband was backhome, asking for forgiveness. I am very happy, we recently reconciled!Like me, all clients I have been referring to him always got GUARANTEEDRESULTS in a few days.

The kit con-sists of jerseys, shorts and socks. The donation is aimed at encourag-ing current players to play knowingtheir community supported them.“I played rugby so I know what it
means to have new kit to play in. I’d
like to assist in the development ofthis sport,” he said.WalmerWaleswas one of the clubs
that formed part of the famed Kwa-zakhele Rugby Union (KWARU)which produced many great rugbyplayers in its history.“WalmerWales is one of the oldest
rugby teams in Walmer Township. This is the team that has producedthe first rugby Springbok in GilmanNoqoli. We’re reviving this teamandwould like these kids whose averageage is 15 years to follow in the foot-steps of Mack Sthanko,” said teamPresident and Chairman MakhayaJack, a former Springbok himself.
“We appreciate what Laxa did. Asa result we don’t want him to be justthe sponsor, we want him to partnerin the club. Rugby development re-quiresmen like him to come forwardand put shoulders to the wheel. Thisis not just sport but business.”According to Jack, Walmer Wales
