About Our SpeakersRobin M. Throckmorton, MA, SHPR, is president and executive HR strategist at Strategic Human Resources, a national HR consulting firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also serves as a founding partner of e-HResources.com, an online resource site for small employers.
She has served as an HR generalist and consultant in the healthcare, manufacturing, service, retail, educational, and nonprofit industries. Also, she is certified as a Development Dimensions International (DDI) trainer and as a Myers Briggs Type Indicator consultant, and she holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation. Her publications include the book Bridging the Generation Gap.
Robin earned her bachelor’s degree at Purdue University and her master’s degree in labor and employment relations from the University of Cincinnati.

VisualsRemember these tips when you’re using slides:
•Use the design templates to standardize the colors, styles, and positions on your slides.
•Don’t use too many slides.
•Include only the most crucial, essential information on each slide.
•Go easy on the animation, effects, and transitions.

• Use larger font sizes
• Make sure the text contrasts with the background.
• Avoid abbreviations, acronyms, ALL CAPS, and too many punctuation marks.
• Use phrases, not sentences.
