Rules for participation Addvantage is open to any school or institution which registered candidates for Cambridge English exams, ELTS and/or Aptis in a specific calendar year.

To activate membership, qualifying institutions must complete and sign the addvantage membership application form and return it by fax, e-mail or post to: British Council, Trg republike 3, 1000 Ljubljana, F: 01 300 20 44, [email protected]

Membership is automatically extended and is valid until cancellation. Partner schools have the right to terminate membership at any point. This should be done in writing to the Exams Manager. Membership will cease from the moment the British Council receives written notification requesting this. From the moment membership is terminated, all entitlement to benefits of the scheme will cease and schools are obliged to remove the addvantage logo from their website and refrain from referring to the addvantage programme from thereon.

Membership will not be extended to the following year in the event a school has not registered any candidates in the current year. Upon cessation or termination, the partner school is obliged to remove the addvantage logo from their website and refrain from using it in their promotional materials as well as associate with the addvantage programme in any way.

Addvantage benefits: In addition to our standard level of service, schools will be entitled to the following benefits depending on their level of membership:

Usage of the addvantage logo for promotion and advertising Addvantage is not an accreditation scheme for schools or institutions. The recognition it gives is limited to the number of exams candidates registered and in no way relates to the quality of the teaching provided. Use of the addvantage logo and materials must therefore not be used to imply academic “accreditation” by the British Council.

All promotional materials e.g. websites, posters, leaflets, banners, advertisements produced by the school using the addvantage logo must obtain written acceptance from the British Council confirming the content and form related to the partnership programme. These must be submitted to the British Council no later than 5 working days prior to their use.

Should any school wish to communicate their Addvantage membership by any method other than using the Addvantage logo or certificate, this must be agreed with the British Council in writing well in advance of any such communication. This request should be made in writing to the address given above.

Termination and amendments The British Council reserves the right to introduce amendments to these regulations and to review the benefits from year to year. The addvantage scheme may be terminated at any time with a 3 months’ notice.
